Pikinni. A home, a history, and an ocean that remembers.

A small ring in a very big ocean.

In the northern Marshall Islands, a necklace of coral islands surrounds Bikini’s vast lagoon. Coconut palms meet white coral sand; the reef gives way to water in a hundred shades of blue.

Its Marshallese name is Pikinni. This is the ancestral home of the Bikinian people, whose relationship with these islands reaches far beyond the view.
